It is some time since we last updated our prospective shareholders on the progress with the community pub project. As you know our second offer for the purchase of the property was rejected by the vendor. As a result we are currently in ongoing discussions with Cheshire West and Chester Council regarding our next steps which may include options under the Compulsory Purchase legislation. The Golden Lion Survey Results From the public meeting and the subsequent whole village survey, 105 completed surveys were returned by 31st December 2017. This representing approximately 25% of the households in the Parish of Ashton Hayes & Horton-cum-Peel. Eight of the surveys returned were from outside of the parish. The surveys were completed on behalf of the 186 adults in the households.
