Mondays at The Golden Lion

Nothing beats a proper pie at the start of the week. Join us every Monday from 12–8pm for Pie and a Drink for £18. Choose from four handcrafted pies, served with hand-cut chips or mash, garden peas and gravy — plus a drink of your choice. The perfect Monday comfort food.

Thursday = Burger Night at The Golden Lion

Bring your appetite (and a friend). Every Thursday from 12–8pm, enjoy 2-for-1 gourmet burgers. Choose from 9 different burgers, all served with fries and coleslaw. Whether it’s a long lunch or a laid-back evening, Thursdays are made for burgers.

This Valentine’s Weekend, join us at The Golden Lion and enjoy a thoughtfully crafted selection of seasonal specials, designed for relaxed yet elegant dining.

Cod & Salmon Fishcakes – served with a poached egg, rich hollandaise sauce and delicate micro herbs (£9.50)

Crispy Brie Wedge – panko herb crumb, tomato, apricot & brandy chutney, with rocket and sun-dried tomato salad (£9.25)

Main Courses

Butcher’s Pork Chop – garlic & herb mashed potato, rainbow carrots, crispy sage, spiced apple purée and pork gravy (£21.95)

Salmon Teriyaki – pan-fried salmon fillet with egg noodles, stir-fried vegetables, teriyaki glaze and toasted sesame seeds (£22.95)

While we don’t normally screen sport, we’re excited to be showing the 6 nations on the big screen for the duration of the tournament . We’ll be keeping our calm, family-pub atmosphere as always — so whether you’re here for the rugby or just a quiet pint, you’re more than welcome 🤗
