We are delighted to announce a major milestone in the journey to bring The Golden Lion back to life.
Following the successful purchase and refurbishment of the pub – made possible through your incredible support – we are pleased to announce that Mr Lance Warburton is to be appointed as tenant of The Golden Lion.
Many of you will know Lance as the well-respected publican of The Ship Inn in Handbridge and previously the Bird in Hand at Guilden Sutton where he has earned a strong reputation for delivering excellent food and drink, creating a welcoming atmosphere, and maintaining the character of a traditional pub. With over 20 years’ experience in the hospitality industry, Lance brings both professional expertise and a passion for community focussed pubs.
Lance was selected through a careful and thorough recruitment process, and we are confident he shares our vision for The Golden Lion as a place that serves the whole village and wider community providing a welcoming, lively, and inclusive pub and hub for all.
Lance, and his wife Leanne, along with AHCHL committee will now begin preparing for opening with details being shared in due course.
